Once connected, operators can start and receive calls from the Inbox, see call events in conversations, sync contacts, and use Aircall SMS with compatible numbers. || To enable the Aircall integration, your workspace needs the **Crisp Essentials** or **Crisp Plus** plan. --- # ${color}[#0080dd](What the Aircall integration includes) __The Aircall integration can help you centralize these actions:__ * **Incoming calls** → create or update a Crisp conversation when a call is received on Aircall * **Call events** → log `Call started` and `Call ended` events in the conversation * **Voicemails** → log voicemail recordings in Crisp * **Notes** → sync notes left in Aircall as Crisp notes * **Tags** → add Aircall tags as Crisp segments * **Contacts** → sync contacts between Aircall and Crisp * **Calling** → initiate and receive calls directly from the Crisp Inbox * **Conversation access** → open a Crisp conversation from an Aircall call * **SMS** → send and receive SMS messages from compatible Aircall numbers You can also check the [Aircall integration listing](https://crisp.chat/en/integrations/aircall/) for an overview. --- # ${color}[#0080dd](Watch the setup video) ${youtube}[Aircall Integration](z75mtfXF1sU) --- # ${color}[#0080dd](Install the Aircall integration) Before connecting Aircall, make sure you are an **Admin** in your Crisp workspace. 1. Go to [**Crisp**](https://app.crisp.chat). 2. Open **Plugins → Aircall**. 3. Authorize Crisp to access your Aircall account. 7. Add existing numbers during the setup flow, or choose **Skip for now** and add numbers later. Click **Create a Number**. 2. Select the country code and number type. 3. Choose the geographical location for the number. 4. Name the phone number. 5. Add agents to the number if needed. 6. Click **Create Number**. After connecting the number, return to Crisp and open a conversation. The **Aircall** widget appears in the right sidebar. --- # ${color}[#0080dd](Answer phone calls from Crisp) To answer calls from Crisp, keep the Aircall dialer open in the Crisp Inbox. You can open it from the right sidebar, then minimize or resize it so agents can keep handling other conversations. ![Minimize the Aircall dialer in Crisp](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/a4823be626ad8800/aircall4_9x4ueo.png =1000xauto) | The operator who picked up a call can be automatically assigned to the conversation when their Crisp account email matches their Aircall account email. --- # ${color}[#0080dd](Send and receive SMS from Aircall) Aircall SMS through Crisp is available for compatible Aircall numbers in supported countries, including **United States**, **Canada**, **United Kingdom**, **France**, **Australia**, and **Germany**. 1. Connect your SMS number to the Crisp integration if it is not connected already. 2. In Crisp, go to **Plugins → Aircall → SMS Numbers**. 3. Enable the number for SMS messaging. Once enabled, your team can send and receive SMS messages directly from Crisp. ||| Once an Aircall number is enabled for SMS in Crisp, it cannot send or receive SMS through Aircall apps. Before removing the Aircall plugin from Crisp, disable the SMS number in Crisp so it can be used again in Aircall apps. ![Enable an Aircall number for SMS in Crisp](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/a4823be626ad8800/aircall5_nt85g2.png =1000xauto) | If you prefer to use Aircall apps for SMS, you can still log messages in Crisp by enabling **Plugins → Aircall → Preferences → All SMS Messaging**. --- # ${color}[#0080dd](Troubleshooting) ###### ${color}[#F08820](I get the error “The messaging public API is not enabled for this company”) To reply to SMS messages from Crisp, your Aircall account must be on the **Professional** plan. If you already use that plan and still see the error, contact Crisp support. ###### ${color}[#F08820](My SMS number is not listed in the Aircall plugin settings) SMS numbers appear in **Plugins → Aircall → SMS Numbers** only when the number is connected to the Aircall integration and the user who connected the plugin is assigned to that number. You can see which user last connected Aircall from **Plugins → Aircall → Settings**. ###### ${color}[#F08820](I deleted the Aircall plugin but cannot use my SMS number in Aircall) Reinstall the Aircall plugin in Crisp, disable the SMS number from the plugin settings, then confirm the number can be used in Aircall again. Once that is done, you can remove the Crisp plugin.
