# How to hide the chatbox for specific countries

*This article explains how to hide the Crisp chatbox for visitors from specific countries.*

Country restrictions are useful when your team only supports certain markets, or when live chat should not be available in regions where you cannot provide service.

# ${color}[#0080dd](Block countries from using the chatbox)

When a country is blocked, visitors detected from that country will not see the chatbox.

__To block one or more countries:__
1. Go to [**Crisp**](https://app.crisp.chat)
2. Open **Settings → Chatbox Settings → Chatbox Restrictions**
3. Click **Add a blocked country**
4. Select the countries you want to block
5. Let Crisp auto-save the change
