# How to hide the chatbox on mobile devices

*This article explains how to hide the Crisp chatbox on mobile devices.*

Hiding the chatbox on mobile can be useful when your mobile layout is very compact, or when you only want to offer live chat from desktop pages.

The mobile visibility option is managed from the chatbox behavior settings.

__To hide the chatbox on mobile devices:__
1. Go to [**Crisp**](https://app.crisp.chat)
2. Open **Settings → Chatbox Settings → Chatbox Behavior**
3. Enable **Hide chatbox on mobile devices**
4. Let Crisp auto-save the change

|| When this setting is enabled, the JavaScript SDK cannot force-display the chatbox on mobile. The workspace setting takes precedence.
