How to import / export a dashboard in Analytics?
Importing and exporting dashboards in Crisp Analytics allows you to save your work, reuse dashboards across workspaces, share setups with teammates, or install pre-built templates provided by Crisp (such as AI performance dashboards).
This guide shows you how to import and export dashboards in just a few clicks.
How to import a dashboard
Importing a dashboard lets you instantly load a ready-made dashboard from a .json file.
Steps
- Go to Analytics → Dashboards
- Click Create a new dashboard at the bottom of the list
- Select Import from a file
- Upload your .json file
- The dashboard appears immediately in your list and can be renamed or edited

Notes
- All charts, metrics, and layout settings included in the file will be recreated automatically.
- Imported dashboards work exactly like any dashboard you build manually.

How to export a dashboard
Exporting allows you to save your dashboard as a .json file, which you can re-import later or share with your team.
Steps
- Go to Analytics → Dashboards
- Hover the dashboard you want to export
- Click ⋯ (More)
- Select Export
- A .json file will download automatically

What’s included in an export
- All chart configurations
- All queries and metrics
- Filters and date ranges
- Dashboard layout
Best practices
- Maintain a shared folder with your team's dashboards (AI, Support, CSAT, Operations…).
- Use exports as templates when onboarding new teammates or when replicating analytics setups across multiple brands or workspaces.
- When Crisp provides pre-built dashboards (eg. AI Performance Calculator), download the file and use Import dashboard to install it instantly.
