# How to Install Crisp Live Chat on WHMCS

*This article explains how to install the Crisp Live Chat plugin on a WHMCS website.*

The [Crisp WHMCS plugin](https://marketplace.whmcs.com/product/5824-crisp-live-chat) lets you display the [Crisp chatbox](https://crisp.chat/en/livechat/) on your customer portal and manage customer conversations directly from the Crisp Inbox.

The plugin is generated from your Crisp workspace. Download it as a ZIP file, install it in WHMCS, then connect it with the license key provided by Crisp.

Before installing the plugin, make sure that:

* You have access to your [**Crisp workspace**](https://app.crisp.chat)
* You can access your WHMCS administration and installation files
* You have permission to install or update WHMCS modules
* Your WHMCS website is accessible so you can test the chatbox

The WHMCS plugin can be downloaded directly from your Crisp workspace.

__To download it:__
1. Open [**Crisp**](https://app.crisp.chat).
2. Go to **Settings → Workspace Settings → Setup & Integrations**.
3. Find and open the **WHMCS** integration.
4. Click the download button to retrieve the plugin as a ZIP file.
5. Keep the license key displayed by Crisp. You will need it during the WHMCS setup.

Once the ZIP file has been downloaded, add the Crisp plugin to your WHMCS installation.

__To install the plugin:__
1. Extract the downloaded ZIP file on your computer.
2. Upload the `crisp` folder to `modules/addons/` in your WHMCS installation.
3. Open your WHMCS administration.
4. Go to **Addons → Apps & Integrations**.
5. Open the **Search** tab.
6. Search for **Crisp**.
7. Open the Crisp integration and activate it.
8. Enter the license key provided by Crisp.
9. Save the configuration.

| Make sure the final plugin path is `modules/addons/crisp/` and that the folder contains `crisp.php` and `hooks.php`.
