# How to schedule messages in the Inbox

*Learn how to schedule messages in the Crisp Inbox, manage upcoming sends, and keep track of conversations that need a follow-up.*

Scheduled Messages let operators prepare replies, private notes, files, and mentions that will be sent later. You can choose a preset delay or a custom time, then edit, reschedule, send, or cancel the message before it goes out.

If you're new to the Inbox, start with [Getting started with the Crisp Inbox](https://help.crisp.chat/en/article/getting-started-with-the-crisp-inbox-1a9mi26/).

|| Scheduled Messages are available on the [**Essentials, Plus, and Enterprise plans**](https://crisp.chat/en/pricing/).

**In this guide, you will learn how to:**

* [Review and manage scheduled messages](#1-review-and-manage-scheduled-messages) → edit, reschedule, send, or delete upcoming messages
* [Find conversations with scheduled messages](#1-find-conversations-with-scheduled-messages) → review upcoming follow-ups from the Inbox

Open a conversation in the [Crisp Inbox](https://crisp.chat/en/shared-inbox/) and prepare the content you want to send.

Scheduled Messages support:

* **Replies** → send a customer message later
* **Private notes** → schedule an internal message for your team
* **Files** → include an attachment with a scheduled message
* **Mentions** → notify teammates from a scheduled private note

#### ${color}[#445055](Choose a preset time)

Click the arrow next to **Send** to open the **Send later** options.

You can choose a preset such as **In 1 hour**, **In 2 hours**, or **Tomorrow at 09:00**.

When relevant, Crisp also displays the corresponding time for the recipient's timezone.

Select **Custom time** when you need to choose an exact sending time.

Set the date and time, then choose whether Crisp should:

* **Resolve the conversation after sending** → close the conversation once the message is sent
* **Notify me when the message is sent** → receive a notification after the scheduled send

Click **Schedule Message** to confirm.

# ${color}[#0080dd](Review and manage scheduled messages)

Scheduled messages remain visible in the conversation until they are sent, so operators can see what is planned and when it will happen.

Open the scheduled messages view from the conversation to review upcoming sends.

#### ${color}[#445055](Manage an upcoming message)

Before the scheduled time, you can:

* **Delete** → cancel the scheduled message
* **Edit** → change the message content
* **Reschedule** → choose another date or time
* **Send immediately** → send the message without waiting

The scheduled content and sending time remain visible to operators with access to the conversation, helping teams avoid duplicate follow-ups.

# ${color}[#0080dd](Understand how Scheduled Messages replace Reminders)

Scheduled Messages are replacing the previous **Reminders** feature.

During the transition, you may still see the existing **Reminder** action in the Inbox. Once Reminders are removed, this action will create a Scheduled Message instead.

Scheduled Messages extend the previous Reminder workflow:

| Reminders | Scheduled Messages |
| ---- | ---- |
| Private notes only | Replies, private notes, and files |
| Cannot be managed after creation | Can be edited, rescheduled, sent immediately, or deleted |
| Limited visibility | Content and scheduled time remain visible in the conversation |
| Mentions are not supported | Mentions work inside scheduled messages |

This makes Scheduled Messages useful for both customer follow-ups and internal team actions without relying on a separate reminder system.
