How to trigger Workflows manually
This guide will focus on triggering a scenario manually from any conversation. This is a very useful way to quickly do some actions, or offer a user to follow a flow you have prepared.
Workflows are no-code procedural automations, they are designed to help you automate processes and be versatile enough to accommodate any type of usages.
By simply selecting and connecting specialized blocks together, you can create a series of events, conditions and actions which allow you to build automations and trigger them automatically in your conversations
Whether you wish to automatically qualify users starting a conversation, filter or categorize their requests, collect information or offer them choice-based paths, workflows can do this before they've even had breakfast.

What is a Manual Scenario
When creating a Bot Scenario, you start by connecting a block to your "Entry Gate", defining the starting point of your scenario. In most cases, where you'd like your scenario to trigger automatically, you will start with a block of type "Event" (such as a "User Message Matches" or "New Crisp Event"). These are automatic scenarios, meaning that they are triggered when a specific event occurs.
If your scenario begins with an "Action" or "Condition" block, instead of an "Event" block, it will be considered a manual scenario, meaning that it cannot start on its own (since it isn't listening for any event).
Manual scenarios can instead be triggered from the "Bot widget" present in any conversation. There, you will find all your scenarios starting with either a Condition or Action block.
Simply click them in order to trigger them and start their flow in that conversation.

Creating and Using a Manual Scenario
To better illustrate how Manual Scenarios are created and triggered, we've prepared an example based on a popular use case among our customers.
In this example, we are creating a manual scenario to help us quickly share a Calendly link, so that our leads can book a meeting with our team directly from the chatbox.
This is one of the many usages that can benefit from the ability to manually start scenarios from a conversation!
