How to hide the chatbox for specific countries

This article explains how to hide the Crisp chatbox for visitors from specific countries.


Country restrictions are useful when your team only supports certain markets, or when live chat should not be available in regions where you cannot provide service.



Block countries from using the chatbox


When a country is blocked, visitors detected from that country will not see the chatbox.


To block one or more countries:

  1. Go to Crisp
  2. Open Settings → Chatbox Settings → Chatbox Restrictions
  3. Click Add a blocked country
  4. Select the countries you want to block
  5. Let Crisp auto-save the change

When to use country restrictions


Use country restrictions when the rule should apply to all pages and all visitors from the selected countries.


If your restriction depends on a specific page instead, use page restrictions.
