How to connect Telegram with Crisp

Learn how to connect Telegram to Crisp so your team can receive and reply to Telegram messages from the Inbox.

The Telegram integration connects a Telegram bot to Crisp. Once connected, messages sent to that bot appear in Crisp and can be handled by your team from the shared Inbox.

The Telegram integration is available from the Crisp Mini plan.

Open the Telegram plugin in Crisp

Go to Crisp.
Open Plugins → Telegram.
Keep the plugin page open while you create your Telegram bot token.

Create your Telegram bot credentials

Open BotFather in Telegram.
Start the /newbot command.
Enter the name of your bot.
Enter the bot username.

Telegram requires bot usernames to end with Bot, such as AcmeCorpBot.

Copy the token generated by Telegram.

Finish the connection in Crisp

Return to Plugins → Telegram in Crisp.
Paste the token generated by BotFather.
Click Connect to Telegram.
