How to edit a message once it was sent

You can edit the last message you sent from the Inbox if it is still eligible for editing.

This is useful for fixing a typo, adjusting wording, or correcting a small mistake immediately after sending a message.

Edit the last message you sent

To edit a message:

  1. Open the conversation where you just replied.
  2. Press the UP arrow on your keyboard.
  3. The last sent message opens in edit mode.
  4. Update the text.
  5. Press ENTER to save the edited version.

Know the limits of message editing

Editing works only in specific cases.

Keep these limits in mind:

  • Only the last message you sent can be edited
  • Email messages cannot be edited once they have been delivered
  • Third-party channels such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger do not support Crisp-side message editing

For email conversations, delivery timing matters. Once the email has gone out, the message can no longer be edited.
