File extensions and sizes supported with Crisp
File uploads in Crisp are limited by both file size and allowed extension type.
Crisp supports uploads across the Inbox, Campaigns, and other products, but not every file type is accepted. The restrictions exist for both security and infrastructure reasons, so it is useful to check them before assuming an upload issue is a bug.

Frequently Asked Questions
Still have questions which were not covered in this article? Here is a collection of the most frequently asked questions on this topic.
How can I check my file upload limit inside the app?
Open Settings → Workspace Settings → Data, Limits & Legal to review your current workspace limits.
If you reached a daily upload limit, either wait for the reset or increase the limit from there if your plan allows it.
Why can I not upload archives such as zip or rar files?
Compressed archives can hide malware or phishing content, which is why they are blocked by many platforms.
Crisp expects files to be shared directly rather than hidden inside an archive.
Why did my uploaded file disappear?
Certain extensions are virus-scanned after upload. If a file is detected as unsafe, it is removed automatically.
Some uploaded files also expire after a retention period. Images and lightweight assets may be compressed instead of deleted.
What should I do if a supported file still fails to upload?
First, confirm that the extension is allowed and the file is under the relevant size limit.
If it is, try uploading the same file from the Crisp web app in your browser. If that works, update your desktop app and test again.
