How can I delete a workspace?

You can delete your Crisp workspace in a few clicks, provided you have the workspace owner role on that workspace.

Before you start, please be reminded that there is no coming back after you delete your workspace on Crisp. All your data will be permanently removed from Crisp servers and will not be recoverable. You will still be able to create a new workspace after removing an old one. Also, any active Crisp subscription for the deleted workspace will be cancelled.

Before deleting a workspace, you will need to ensure all other agents have been removed first. You must be the last Owner of that workspace to proceed. You can manage (and remove) agents from Settings > Workspace Settings > Operators in the Team

Ensure you are deleting the correct workspace

When deleting a workspace, you should be absolutely certain which workspace you would like to delete, as all data for that workspace will be removed forever once the process is complete. If you have multiple workspaces associated to your account, then you can follow the examples below to ensure you are deleting the correct workspace. If both workspaces have the same name and the same logo, this might make it more confusing.

Select the workspace to delete:

Change the name of the workspace you are planning to delete in Settings > Workspace settings > Workspace Information

Make sure you switch to the correct workspace on the top left and ensure that it is in fact the correct workspace you would like to delete. You can check:

Contacts page
Conversations
Analytics

These three options may indicate if you changed the wrong workspace name. Be sure to cross check this with your other workspace and confirm that you have changed the name of the correct workspace to delete.

Note: If the workspace name has not updated, try reloading the page, or wait some time as the name might not have updated yet due to cache reasons

Delete the workspace

Now that you are sure you that this is the workspace you would like to delete, you can:

Go to: https://app.crisp.chat
Head over to Settings > Workspace Settings > Danger Zone
Hot the "Delete Workspace" button

Ensure the name at the top is the correct website to delete

You will then be prompted to confirm the action. After validating, you will need to enter the domain of the website associated with this workspace.

This domain is the one appearing in the "Workspace Information" menu.

hoose your authentication method (SSO, password, 2FA...) and submit it.

fter a brief timer, you will be able to validate the action and delete your workspace.

For security reason, an email notification will be sent to all Owners when such action is performed. In case a mistake was made, your team will have a short window of time to revert it and cancel the procedure.
