How to connect Jira with Crisp

Learn how to connect Jira to Crisp so your team can create, link, and comment Jira issues from customer conversations.

The Jira integration helps support, product, and technical teams turn customer feedback into tracked issues without leaving the Crisp Inbox. It is especially useful for bug reports, feature requests, and follow-up tasks that need to reach a product or engineering board.

Connect Jira to Crisp

  1. Go to Crisp.
  2. Open Plugins → Jira.
  3. Install the Jira integration.
  4. Follow the authorization flow to connect your Jira account.
  5. Select the project or boards your team should use from Crisp.
  6. Save the plugin settings.

Once connected, the Jira widget becomes available from the conversation sidebar in Crisp.

What the Jira integration does

The Jira integration lets your team move customer feedback into Jira without switching context.

From Crisp, operators can:

  • Create Jira issues → turn a conversation into a bug, task, or feedback item
  • Link existing issues → connect a customer conversation to an issue that already exists
  • Comment on Jira issues → add useful context from the customer conversation
  • Search Jira issues → avoid duplicate issues and keep teams aligned

In Jira, linked issues can include context about the Crisp conversation, making it easier for product and technical teams to understand who reported the issue and what happened.

Best practices

Use clear issue titles and include enough context for the team receiving the Jira issue. When possible, add the customer impact, steps to reproduce, screenshots, and the Crisp conversation link.

A useful Jira issue from Crisp usually includes:

  • Customer impact → what the user experienced and how severe it is
  • Expected behavior → what should have happened instead
  • Observed behavior → what actually happened
  • Conversation link → the Crisp conversation for full context
  • Attachments → screenshots, videos, logs, or files when available
