How to connect SalesForce with Crisp
Learn how to connect Salesforce to Crisp so Crisp contact data can be pushed to Salesforce contacts.
The Salesforce integration sends Crisp contact data to Salesforce. It helps sales teams keep customer contact information synchronized while keeping conversation messages inside Crisp.
How the Salesforce plugin works
The Salesforce plugin automatically syncs Crisp contact information to Salesforce. It pushes contact fields, not conversation messages.
Crisp can send these contact fields to Salesforce:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Profile picture
- Address
- Lead source → set as Crisp
Link Crisp to Salesforce
You can start from either the Crisp integration page or the Crisp plugin marketplace.
Start from the integration page
- Open the Salesforce integration page.
- Click Install.
- Follow the authorization steps.
Start from Crisp
- Go to Crisp.
- Open Plugins → Salesforce.
- Install the plugin.
- Follow the connection steps.
How Salesforce stores Crisp contacts
In Salesforce, Crisp user details are created or updated in the Contact object. Existing Salesforce contacts are recognized through their email address so duplicate contacts are not created when the email already exists.
Troubleshooting
The plugin installed successfully, but contacts are not syncing
Salesforce API access is required for the Crisp integration to sync contact data. Some Salesforce editions include API access and others do not.
Salesforce editions that include API access:
- Enterprise Edition
- Unlimited Edition
- Developer Edition
- Performance Edition
Salesforce editions that do not include API access:
- Group Edition
- Essentials Edition
- Professional Edition
If your Salesforce edition does not include API access, the integration cannot sync contacts. Upgrade to an edition with API access or contact Salesforce to confirm your API availability.
