How to connect Trello with Crisp

Learn how to connect Trello to Crisp so your team can create, search, and attach Trello cards from customer conversations.

The Trello integration helps support and product teams turn customer conversations into actionable cards without leaving Crisp. It is useful for bug reports, feature requests, operational tasks, and follow-ups.

The Trello integration is available from the Crisp Essentials and Crisp Plus plans.

Link Trello and Crisp

  1. Go to Crisp.
  2. Open Plugins → Trello.
  3. Install the Trello plugin.
  4. Open the Trello plugin settings.
  5. Follow the connection flow to authorize Crisp in Trello.
  6. Select the boards Crisp should be allowed to use.

Once the installation is successful, the Trello widget appears in the right-side actions panel of Crisp conversations.

What the Trello integration includes

Using the Trello widget, operators can create detailed cards from a Crisp conversation. They can specify the card title, description, board, and list.

The widget also lets your team:

  • Assign a card to a conversation → keep the customer request linked to the right task
  • Search for Trello cards → avoid creating duplicates
  • See impacted customers in Trello → understand which conversations are linked to a card
  • Receive Trello notifications in Crisp → keep updates visible inside the customer thread

Troubleshooting

I cannot create a card because I do not see any Trello board

Check the Trello plugin settings and make sure at least one board is enabled.

  1. Go to Crisp.
  2. Open Plugins → Trello → Settings.
  3. Find Available boards.
  4. Select at least one board.
  5. Save your settings.

I still have an issue with the Trello integration

Contact Crisp from the contact page and include the Crisp workspace, Trello board, and conversation where the issue happened.
