How to redirect emails from Outlook 365 (Microsoft Office 365) to Crisp

Forward your Microsoft 365 or Outlook mailbox to Crisp so your team can manage email support from the shared Inbox.

Once forwarding is enabled, your incoming emails land in Crisp and can be handled alongside live chat and your other connected channels. This is a good way to centralize support and keep email collaboration in the same workspace as the rest of your customer conversations.

Get your Crisp forwarding address

Open Crisp, then go to Settings → Workspace Settings → Setup & Integrations → Email.

Open the email section for your workspace and copy your Crisp email redirection address.

Open the Email section from Crisp setup and integrations

Set up forwarding in Outlook

In Outlook, open Settings, then click View all Outlook settings.

Open Outlook settings

Go to the Forwarding section, enable forwarding, paste your Crisp forwarding address, and save.

Enable forwarding in Outlook and paste the Crisp forwarding address

Once saved, new emails can start arriving in your Crisp Inbox.

If Microsoft 365 blocks external forwarding

Some Microsoft 365 workspaces block automatic forwarding by default as part of their outbound spam protection.

If you receive a bounce message after enabling forwarding, your organization may have external forwarding disabled. In that case, ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to allow it.

A typical bounce includes this message:

550 5.7.520 Access denied, Your organization does not allow external forwarding. Please contact your administrator for further assistance.

Microsoft explains this setup here: Configure outbound spam policies in Microsoft 365

If your administrator allows forwarding only for selected accounts, they usually need to create an outbound policy and enable Automatic forwarding rules for the affected mailbox.

Forward multiple mailboxes and tag them automatically

If your company uses several mailboxes such as billing@company.com, sales@company.com, and support@company.com, you can forward all of them to Crisp and still keep them organized.

Append +segment to your Crisp forwarding address so each mailbox adds its own segment automatically.

Example:

This lets you create cleaner filters and routing rules once the emails reach Crisp.
