How to your Crisp profile and update your avatar
Learn how to update your Crisp profile details, account language, and profile picture.
Completing your Crisp profile helps teammates recognize you in the dashboard and gives customers a clearer identity when you reply to conversations.
Edit your profile
You can update your profile information from your account settings.
To edit your profile:
- Go to Crisp.
- Open Settings from the bottom-left corner.
- Navigate to Settings → Account → Account Information.
- Update your profile details, language, or profile picture.
- Save the changes if prompted.

Troubleshooting profile updates
A few common issues can prevent profile changes from appearing exactly as expected.
My preferences are not saved
Make sure both your first name and last name are filled in. Crisp needs the required profile fields before saving the account information correctly.
My email is already taken
You cannot use an email address that is already associated with another Crisp account. If the email belongs to an account you previously created, recover that account from the password recovery page instead.
My avatar is not updating on the chatbox
The chatbox avatar can take a little context to refresh. Send a new message to a visitor after updating your picture, then check again from a fresh visitor session.
