How to delete your Crisp account

Learn how to permanently delete your Crisp account and what to check before starting the deletion flow.

Deleting a Crisp account is permanent. Before removing your user account, you need to leave or delete the workspaces attached to it, cancel active subscriptions, and keep any billing documents you still need.

Account deletion cannot be undone. Once your Crisp account is deleted, its data is permanently removed from Crisp servers and cannot be recovered.

Before deleting your account

Make sure your account is no longer tied to active workspaces, subscriptions, or billing items you still need.

Before removing your account:

  1. Leave every workspace where you are a member from Settings → Workspace Settings → Operators and Teams.
  2. If you are the only owner of a workspace, delete that workspace first from Settings → Workspace Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Workspace.
  3. Cancel any active subscriptions.
  4. Download any invoices you need to keep.
  5. Remove saved billing methods from Settings → Billing → Cards.
  6. Check that no remaining workspace or website is still associated with the account.

You can create a new Crisp account later with the same email address, but the deleted account data will not be restored.

Delete your Crisp account

Once the prerequisites are handled, you can delete the account from your own dashboard.

To delete your account:

  1. Go to Crisp.
  2. Open Settings from the bottom-left corner.
  3. Navigate to Settings → Account → Account Information.
  4. At the bottom of the page, click Delete your account.
  5. Enter your account email to confirm the deletion.
  6. Validate the action. You will be redirected to the login page once the account is closed and deleted.

Troubleshooting account deletion

Most deletion issues happen when the account still belongs to a workspace, especially when you are the last owner of that workspace.

You are the last member of a workspace

If Crisp prevents you from deleting your account because you are the last member of a workspace, delete the workspace first from Settings → Workspace Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Workspace. Once the workspace is deleted, you can return to Settings → Account → Account Information and delete your user account.

You encounter an error while deleting the account

Try leaving the workspace first, then deleting it if you are the owner, before starting the account deletion again. If your account is temporarily accessible after a suspension, you still need to delete it from your own dashboard by following the steps above.

You cannot access the dashboard

If you cannot access the dashboard at all, contact Crisp support and share the email address of the account you want to delete. The team can check the account status and guide you further.

If your account is suspended and you cannot access the dashboard, ask support whether access can be temporarily restored so you can delete the account yourself. Account deletion is self-serve and requires access to your account.
