How to cancel a subscription

Learn how to cancel a Crisp subscription by downgrading your workspace to the Free plan.

Cancelling a Crisp subscription is done from your workspace billing settings. Once the workspace is downgraded to the Free plan, the paid subscription is cancelled and future plan renewals stop.

Cancel your plan

Go to Crisp, then open Settings → Billing → Plans & Subscriptions for the workspace you want to cancel.

To cancel the paid plan:

  • Click Change Plan
  • Select the Free plan
  • Confirm the downgrade

The downgrade cancels the current paid subscription for that workspace and prevents future plan charges.

Make sure you are editing the right workspace before downgrading. Crisp plans are billed per workspace, so cancelling one workspace does not cancel another workspace you may also manage.

Confirm that no future charges are planned

After downgrading, return to Settings → Billing → Plans & Subscriptions and confirm that the active plan is Free.

You can also check:

  • The workspace no longer shows an active paid plan
  • No paid plan renewal is scheduled for that workspace
  • The payment method is no longer needed for that workspace subscription

If you were charged before the downgrade was completed, contact Crisp support and ask for a billing review.

Reactivate an inactive subscription

If your subscription is inactive and you want to keep using a paid plan, go to Settings → Billing → Plans & Subscriptions, choose the plan you want, and validate the subscription with a valid payment method.

If your payment method is missing, expired, or invalid, add a new one first from Settings → Billing → Cards.

Request a temporary suspension

If you do not want to fully cancel the workspace, a temporary suspension may be possible for one upcoming month.

To request it, contact Crisp support and confirm the exact workspace you want to suspend. If approved, the workspace may be placed on a temporary trial until the pause end date so access remains available during the suspension period.

Temporary suspensions are generally limited to one month. If the current billing cycle already renewed, the pause may apply to the next billing cycle instead of generating an immediate refund.
